Overheard in class yesterday...
Girl of indeterminate Asian origin: I'm throwing a white party this weekend.
Black kid: I threw a white party before.
White kid: A white party? Like, for white kids? (whispers) But you're black.
Black kid: No dumbass, like a party where everyone wears white.
White kid: Ohhhhh, that makes so much more sense.
I couldn't make this stuff up.
To be fair, if I heard this, I would probably also want to clarify the meaning of "white party"... that just sounds strange.
