But, teenager, for serious, you'll freeze out there.

The happened on Monday, two periods after the conversation I had with the senior who wasn't dressed weather appropriately..

A girl walks into class wearing tiny skirt, ankle boots, and a very thin sweater.  The girl who sits in front of my desk, where I was also sitting at that moment, is awesome.  At the beginning of the year I thought she was going to be awful and bitchy, but she turned out to be snarky and hilarious, much like me.  She gaped at the girl and then turned to me:

Girl: M, why is she wearing a skirt?  It was 27 degrees this morning.
Me: I know, I know.

Girl: But seriously, like, what the fuck?
Me: I KNOW!
Girl laughs.
Me: OK, wait, let's go back...duuuuuuuuude language! [a beat] But, still, I KNOW!

Note: I'm taking tomorrow and Monday off from blogging because the ever amazing, wonderful, fantastic, hilarious, awesome K is coming to visit!  I usually head across the country to see her in the fall, but I wasn't able to this year, so she is coming to me.  Honestly, she originally chose now because we wanted to see The Great Gatsby together, but due to movie industry fuckery, that's not going to happen.  I'm mostly just over the moon that she's coming to visit at all!

So have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you on Tuesday!

  1. Kids are still dressing inappropriately for the weather?! Thought they were fools back in the day, and that feeling hasn't changed. :/ Enjoy your break!
