Actually we had a "you were gone" party.

An actual conversation I have at least once a week:

Kid who was gone yesterday: Did we do anything important yesterday?
Me, rolling my eyes: Nope, we just sat around lamenting your absence.

Seriously, STOP ASKING THIS.  Yes, we did something.  Yeah, it was probably important because everything we do is important.  This question makes me want to light my hair on fire.  Kids know where the make-up work basket is.  They know they should check it and then some talk to me.  Maybe a better question would be, "What did I miss yesterday?", because that makes me actually want to help you.

Sorry, I needed to rant a little bit.

Oh, and Happy Valentine's Day, if you're into that. <3

OK folks, I'm out until next Wednesday. I'll be going out of state with my extra-curricular kids and hopefully sure I'll return with stories, but not ones about crazy kids running amok.

I need some good songs to listen to on the plane.  What are you currently listening to?
