Saturday Special: Three Things, Vol. 9

I haven't done a Three Things post in over a month, so here I am.

1. House of Cards

Shit, you guys, Kevin Spacey is awesome.  HoC, if you don't know, is the first show Netflix has produced.  It's all about political intrigue and powerful people doing powerful things.  I started watching last weekend (instead of watching the SuperBowl) and I plan to marathon the rest today.

2. David Levithan's How They Met and Other Stories

Yes, Valentine's Day is coming up.  If you're so inclined to celebrate, or you just want a romantic read, I highly recommend you pick up David Levithan's collection of short stories about love.  There's a story for everyone in there: happy, sad, forever love, unrequited love, straight, gay, and everything else you can think of.  I own both a hardback and Kindle copy of it, I love it that much.  My favorite quote:

“Love doesn’t have to be on Valentine’s Day. It doesn’t have to be by the time you turn eighteen or thirty-three or fifty-nine. It doesn’t have to conform to whatever is usual. It doesn’t have to be kismet at once, or rhapsody by the third day.

It just has to be. In time. In place. In spirit.

It just has to be.”

3. Ne-Yo, "Let Me Love (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)"

Seriously, I've watched this video eleventy billion times.  I just love to watch Ne-Yo dance.

  1. I'm loving House of Cards, but I thought Lilyhammer was the first Netflix production? I'm confused....
